Got my copy of the newly realeased DVD of The Day the Earth Stood Still. Finally, somebody did a realease correctly. The sound has been remastered in THX. The best part - the transfer was done from a NEW PRINT. There is not a booger, hicky, lint, scratch or flaw in the entire transfer. It is so good you can see the film grain. The shadows have a depth that is unbelievable - at times the film looks almost 3D.If you like this film - get the DVD it is spectacular.
