I've always thought Burt Lancaster was a great actor and he's long been one of my favorite American actors. My three favorites are his performances in:1. "The Rose Tattoo" with Anna Manganni (sp). She is magnificent and he's just as good.
2. "The Rainmaker" with Kate Hepburn. Again. two great actors.
3. "The Birdman of Alcatraz' is one of my favorite films. It's very moving and Lancaster's performance is for the ages. This was the capstone of a fine career.
