I stumbled across this '99 gem on the Indie Film Channel last night. I think its the best Chinese film I've seen. Solid story line. Good acting. Fascinating account of ancient China in 300 BC. Made all the better because I wouldn't know what's accurate and what isn't. None of Kung Fu magic goofiness that pretty much ruined Crouching Tiger for me. Just enough quirkiness to know its not forced. Anyone familiar with this one?
