I read the book and LOVED IT. I did not like the movie. I've hesitated saying why, because it will give away too much for those who still want to see it.Suffice it to say, I didn't like Tim Robbins, and some of the characters didn't have enough screen time to explain their actions (specifically Annabeth).
Kevin Bacon was excellent. Some of the Boston accents were better than others.
Read the book. It is outstanding.
