"Classical music on radio stations was emphasised." One of few positives

By the age of 8 I could vocalize many major classical pieces. Somehow classical resonated in me even at that age.

I would not say it was the predominant music on radio - there was plenty of easy listening too, but classical did indeed have very strong presence.

Unlike, regrettably, here... for all the garbage on radio there is one semi-classical station in our area.
