... to out perform LDs. They minimized banding (posterization). They reduced jitter (picture jumping). Now, they just have to tackle frame dropping (strobing), edging that doesn't look stairs (aliasing) & temporal synchronization of audio & video. Once they get it fixed I'll buy a DVD player too. Right now they still look like GIF movies, IMHO. Although, I've yet to see a CAL CL-25. I almost saw a CL-20 down at CSA Audio but although it was hooked up, they weren't playing it that day in their empty store.
