Why not show American high schoolers a picture of a world of poverty and suffering into which they are lucky not to have been born.Still thinking about the other four, but I might pick ones that are more controversial, rather than established classics, because most high school students are pretty lazy and they need to be provoked to stir them into thinking activity. Maybe Bunuel's "Un Chien Andalou"?
