setting brightness high does run more juice hence extra heat shorter life.More noise would appear on screen as well.Set the color temps/brightness/contrast/sharp/with room darkened or after sunset.
You want it to have the best picture for evening viewing when picture is better anyway.The Hitachi may have auto picture compensation for day vs night viewing.Break it in with "Godfather"
