Ralph would need a more sophisticated Bond girl instead of the HA-HA Onatop kind of two dimensional bimbos.There is much that could be done with James Bond if they look forward and not copy the endless F/X movies. The question is how to make a more sophisticated more credible Bond picture with a non cartoon central character while not alienating Bond fans.
As much as I like to say I'd like a High Brow Bond my favorite actual film of the series was The Spy Who Loved Me. I like Connery Best the Dalton.
I had such high hopes for the Avengers because I felt there was more to work with - a sassy sexual tension with TWO crime fighters and there was usually some quirky story. With Fiennes, Uma and Connery how could it go so wrong - American Writers and money ruined that one and the worst script of the year.
But Fiennes had a light touch in Strange Days - one of the best films of 1995 IMO.
