Glad you posted this as I was just thinking about "Shawshank" the other day (and once again wound up watching most of it on cable last nite).... I don't own it but never seem to get tired of it... it's a bit over the top and manipulative in places but the story is solid and the acting is simply terrific (on par with "MIssissippi Burning", another favorite of mine simply for the acting).Morgan Freeman's voiceover narration in Shawshank is a treat; I could listen to him recite that dialog all day and never tire of that voice.
