...my absolute favorite films of the past 15 years, an American masterpiece IMO (OK, a really DARK masterpiece). Multi-layered, open ended, drenched in dream imagery and still disturbing after all these years. (Jungians should have a field day taking this one apart.)British director Peter Greenaway once said BV was so good, he wished he'd made it himself.
Mulholland Drive may be even better.
If BV unsettled you - Lynch succeeded. You got it.
