I agree with all of that and, while I will admit it was not perfect, I don't really agree with your earlier criticisms.I saw this twice when it came out in the theatres and a number of times since then on VHS and DVD. The black and white cinematography showing the angels eye view of the world is superb on the big screen. I liked it so much I could never see the Nicolas Cage remake.
