I am surprised.... no, let's make it SHOCKED, at the complete lack of responses to the Tokyo Story post below.

Seriously, I am, as the film is indeed a very special one, a true masterpiece and is vibrant and fresh today, fifty years after it was made.

It is definitely one of the best films ever made about human relationships, and while I understand that could be considered its curse in today's world, I know we here can raise above the mundane and see the true nature and substance, the philosophical depth and the humanity.

So - anyone else would like to comment on that gem?

This would indeed drop this place in my eyes if the new SW episode produced pages of responses, while something like Tokyo Story was relegated to not much more than a footnote.
