I saw this one. Didn't realize it had garnered a lot of praise, but I could see why, as many may praise it for the "character study" and the emphasis on dialogue/acting vs action sequences.That being said, I am inclined to agree with you, but my blah reaction to it is not as strong as yours. You are a far more critical and knowledgeable movie viewer than I think I ever could be.
I thought the movie was slow, a bit mean spirited, and ultimately pointless. So, all in all, for me it was okay but forgetable
