From what I read here and elsewhere, it does indeed sound like Vol. 2 is a more conventional film stripped of some unexpected beauty found in Vol. 1. That would be a shame, as the Japanese theme was a good vehicle, but probably not the only one possible.My memories of Jackie Brown are pretty pale. Like you, I turned the KB on fully expecting not to like it. How nice that sometimes we turn out to be wrong.
