The original Peewee character was a bit more...ah..."adult" oriented than than the character of Peewee's Playhouse.Nevertheless, I'm still amazed by P'sP - one of the most brilliant, original children shows ever conceived. Watching it now on DVD, I'm as dazzled and baffled by it as I was back in the day.
I can't believe it was ever on network TV.
I usually have no trouble ignoring Mr. Ruben's misdemeanors. We're all human in real life, although Mr. R undoubtedly wished he'd settled playing house with home video. I also have no trouble enjoying his rare performances in various movies.
