Ok, I waited till after the initial rush to see this movie.I went to the first showing Tuesday a.m. (10:25am CST), for $4.25, wanted to minimize the loss in case movie was stillborn.
"Holy crap!" (as batman would say).
Nothing new--somewhat of a cross between Close Encounters and Jurassic Park. Remember that scene where the aliens are searching in the basement, JUST LIKE the velocoraptors stalking the kids in the kitchen in JP1?
I actually appreciate some of Speilberg's movies, but this one was just recycled junk.
And it got a > 70 reading on the tomatometer? What were the critics watching?
But did I get lucky. The film broke in the middle of the movie, so after a brief delay, the movie was restarted and we all got rain cheecks in the form of a few pass!
So all I'm out is my time . . .
