Anyone here familiar with his work? For such a well-known and regarded documentarian, it's surprising to me that his stuff isn't available on DVD or even video, it seems. Anyway, I'd only read about him until last night, when I saw his 1968 documentary High School. Great moments. Very well observed. And, what probably comes as no surprise, American public education sucked back then as well.
I bet you guys didn't know that the dictionary is the only place where success comes before work.
Anyway, some of you might remember his getting a lot of positive press for his Domestic Violence a couple years ago.
