Like many 1970s movies it seems a bit dated but it presents a time that people have forgotten. BTW, just so you you know, "Needle Park" is actually Verdi Park just above the 72nd St. subway station on the West Side IRT. How do I know? I lived in the Ansonia right across the street "in the day".
