Sixty Six

A charming tale of a Jewish boy approaching his Bar Mitzvah in 1966 and realising that it coincides with the World Cup final.
This film has been trailed as a comedy but in fact has at least as much tragedy as humour.
Its very British.
I grew up in London in a big Jewish area and would have been the same age as this boy and the recreation of the times and place is tremendous, excruciatingly so at times.I enjoyed it.
It's not 4 Weddings and it's not Brigit Jones but it has laughter and tears and is very worth seeing for lovers of all thing Brit.
