These movies are odes to the old horror/suspense movies. There are plenty of old suspense/killer movies with lots of talking and then some action. Tarantino can't help but to put in his dialogue (do agree the dude should give up acting) rather than make it ridiculously boring like a lot of these movies are. The silliness of the car chase is there with the obvious plot holes (in how many of those movies does someone show up somewhere at the last minute when they had no way of knowing where to go and no way of getting there?) but the action scene was a great payoff.Rodriguez's movie was easier at it was just a bloody orgy but he did a fine job too. Tarantino's movie was great at the end with the ladies finishing it off. Felt great going out of the theater. The boys delivered on their promises and how.
