I've seen five of his films, and "Stalker" was the only one I didn't care for. My wife, however, liked it the most of all his films, with "The Sacrifice" being a not-so-close second. She fell asleep twice trying to watch "Solaris", yet was riveted to "Stalker".
She's not Russian, and I have no idea why she liked it so much. The only thing I can think of...she is a big fan of fantasy films.
