I haven't yet seen the film...

But may actually venture for a change to a theater to do so instead of waiting for the DVD.

From your description the ending sounds like it remains true to the book.

Maybe not the best cinematic wrap-up for a film, but truly effective in print and leaves one thinking...and thinking...

I like the Sheriff, glad he never did meet Chigurh, 'cause that wasn't a good thing for most anyone that did.

The book is superb, I imagine I'll also think that of the film.
