I read the February thread. I searched to see if anyone picked up on an homage to 2001:A Space Odyssey and saw no mention.
Did anyone who saw this film see what I did? It the beginning no dialog and DDL is working with rudimentary drilling equipment which suggested effortlessly the opening chapter of Kubrick's Film with the Ape Man fumbling with the Bones. Lewis advances, learns and evolves his understanding of his world and develops..then of course the final scene in TWBB with Lewis bashing Eli with the Bowling Pin was plainly recalling the Attack scene in 2001 even to the point of Lewis squatting on the Alley like an Ape... Just a curiosity. I have to imagine the director was a big fan of Kubrick or at least that movie. Anyone?Edit: Believe it or not I posted here before Googling the topic and I am apparently not the only one to see this... oh well ,LOL..
