Okay we didn't catch it until it reached the $1 theater, but we both loved the music, even if Beyonce is no Etta James, and immediately went home to listen to the real thing for the next few days. A
nd I found a two CD Etta James best of collection for $3 at the Salvation Army a few days later.
For example, the wife predicted Slumdog would win as best picture immediately after seeing it, and I thought Dumbdog was horrible because it showed adults torturing children.
I liked Duplicity and she hated it!
She liked Marley and Me, but I was very upset after seeing the dog put to sleep. I thought they should have put Alan Arkin to sleep.
It's rare that we both agree we really loved a movie.
After seeing Cadillac Records, we found several books in the library about Chess Records and some of their artists, to get the real story.
If we had read them before seeing the movie, it would not have been as good.
