Both the LA Times and NY Times reviews were lukewarm. LA Times said it stepped through the exact same plot as the original but not as well. NY Times said, yes, it's slapstick enough to generate a few laughs, but nothing more. In both cases, the gist was that it is a lazy adaptation of the original material. So I'm skipping it.
