The only explanation is you and I have VERY different value scales. Perhaps I am so soft these days that bad films pass for good ones...
I dunno... my problem is not enough time, and too many good films in the growing queue, not the quality of films.
Of course I don't know what you mean by "old" either. One can more than easily make the case that, for instance, 98% of film noir are basically B movies... and get away with it. In reality one simply has to watch them with a different eye.
