The water idea was beyond stupid. It was an idiotic depiction of the aliens. (Notice how there hasn't been a realistic depiction of the aliens since Close Encounters? This is supposedly by design, initially as part of the conditioning for now on-hold project Blue Beam).
What I disagree about is the sulfuric acid on Venus. They have sent camaras on parachutes. 900F, sulfuric acid?? C'mon! That's a sad joke. That is one of NASA's finest fairy tales to condition us away from the truth about Venus.
