Can't there be more than one? :o(

There are so many GREAT movies with near perfect picture and, given the context of when they were released, excellent sound. For B&W, I'd list "Casablanca" ('42, 4:3 formated), "Citizen Kane" ('41, 4:3). In animation (various techniques), I'd recommend "Chicken Run", "Final Fantasy", both "Toy Story" features (these films best watched on a 16:9 TV in WS anamorphic) and the original "Fantasia" ('41, 4:3) which has an excellent surround musical soundtrack as originally released (!). Among the many video music titles now available I'd recommend Alice Cooper's "Brutally Live" (presented in WS anamorphic) which also has superb sound. Finally, for live action features, I'd suggest any of the new superbit transfers (esp. if you have access to a progressive scan DVD player and WS digital TV) as well as "Matrix", "Pitch Black", "Clockwork Orange", "Jurassic Park" (series), "Terminator" I & II, "MIB", "Alien", and "Aliens", all for picture transfer and sound in anamorphic presentation (16:9). My personal preferences are more in the science fiction genre, but I'd be remiss not to mention high quality transfers from other genres like "Silverado", "Seven", and "LA Confidential" and even the documentary "Walking With Dinosaurs" (all anamorphic formated for 16:9).

So, I may have gotten carried away an lost my head here, but "Highlander" aside, can there be only one? :o)
