And, it helps if you like both Rembrandt AND Greenaway.
It's excessive, his reach exceeds his grasp, but it's fun in an English cerebral way. It also is a companion to his film dramatic film about that same subject.
Embarrassing post-script: I indeed have already seen your film; I liked it and it is a better visual treat than the Rembrandt, though I found it overall a bit weak (gave it 3 stars). It's always a pleasure to see the intelligent Rutger Hauer at work, though.
