We're getting a lot of sci-fi out and soon to be out, which is always a mixed bag, but I'm not hearing too many good things about the flicks in general these past couple of months.
That said, I have to come clean and admit that I finally saw "Twilight -- Breaking Dawn: Part II" last week. Had to do it; had to get closure on that mess. I liked it; God help me.
In my defense, I was over in Forks, Washington a week ago, where the series centers -- ground zero for vampires and werewolves. Beautiful, wet, coastal country. A sign posted halfway between Forks and the coast stated "Vampire Treaty Line". In town at Sully's Drive-In, I could get a Bella Burger and Twilight Punch. I had to see it; I had to get a motel and watch the final movie (the 5th) on pay-per-view. I had to drive a stake through its ugly heart.
