Good list. I'll add Dalton Trumbo's 1970 film "Johnny Got His Gun". Metallica relied heavily on footage from it for their video "One". The book of the same name also makes for a very disturbing read. For some reason the WW1 movies carry the strongest message. The impact of the 1937 "J'Accuse" has not faded and still chills me.
