About as good a list as I've ever seen. I've seen all the movies on your list and they are all excellent.What about APOCALYPSE NOW and PLATOON? Two war movies that had an exceptionally strong anti-war message. Also GOING HOME, HAMBURGER HILL, THE RED BADGE OF COURAGE. All films that show the stupidity of war and its consequences. How about FAIL SAFE, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, SCHINDLER'S LIST, and SHOA? THE EXECUTION OF PVT. SLOVIK? STALAG 17? What about BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES?
