'American Sniper': Time to take Bradley seriously . . .

I was completely blown away by Cooper's immersion into his character. The first part of the film, showing his home life, just floored me. There was no actor in front of the camera. (I believe tin mentioned this.) His role is certainly Oscar worthy and deserving of the highest merit. As much as I love 'Birdman' this is a head to head combat. Budapest doesn't even belong in the running.

The story was told in a most excellent fashion and I see nothing wrong with Sienna Miller's acting. The direction and camera work gave me a sense of edginess over and above 'Zero Dark'. There is a lot of red, white, and blue in this film so it will definitely be loved by middle America. And, this may be the very thing that has held it back from garnering more recognition.

This film Siamese's nicely with Zero Dark. It has a similar feel and they both portray two patriotic (my country right or wrong) heroes. I did not know how the story ended by when the credits began no one moved until all the video faded to black. A tribute of sorts.

First matinee was packed beyond belief. Every one there wore Depends but me, honest. I doubt the Millennials will care enough to see this. But, YOU go see this.

Clint Eastwood should be thanked for this.
