'San Andreas': Falling buildings, bouncing bosoms . . .

and The Rock. This is a very politically correct casting project that made sure any woman who has three lines comes well equipped with ample chest and pogo stick brassieres.

You will chuckle at all the cliches, as I did, but that's part of the fun. The CGI kicks right off with a classic lesson on texting while driving and rapidly progresses to the Hoover Dam. Giamatti is the brains of the film who figures out how to predict quakes about 20 minutes too late. Panjabi, a reporter, hangs with him and brings up the question of "future romance".

Dwayne is in the midst of a divorce from Gugino who is moving in with a billionaire type. But, that crushed marriage is about to change thanks to the greatest natural disaster that has occurred.

The Rock flies a rescue Huey for a fire department. When the quakes hit he boldly diverts himself to save his wife and daughter. That's where all the fun is.

The CGI eclipses the actors except when they are running. This is a shrewdly entertaining film with all the politically correct things mashed into it. This is not for the Dom and monocle crowd. Leave that stuff behind. You should GO BIG because this won't be anything at home. Children will love it and their chaperones amused by cliches and puppies fighting under blankets.

Two outta five with a bullet.
