I just finished season one and must say I am binge-ing on this. What a terrific collection of has-beens turning in great performances. Gould and Voight are spot on and I must say this is the best performance I've seen Voight give. Never thought of him as a "bad guy" but, wow, he can sell it. James Woods sold a great Whitey Bulger for several episodes and Rosanna Arquette was a memorable victim of Mick and his world.
These hipster scripts are rolling situation-to-situation dramas in each episode. I think it was near brilliant to have a series based around the life of a professional "fixer" who actually does bad things. Liev (the American Clive Owen?) is a solid fixture who has two basic modes: malevolence and rage. Great job on both.
I'm looking forward to catching up.
