RE: I have some reservations about it...

A crime family with more than its fair share of melodrama.
Season 2 had a couple of superb episodes. One episode, toward the end of season 2, has the Donovan family and extended members together for a reunion party of sorts. Ex-wives included. (ho boy) The episode serves to display the level and depth of the dysfunction within this crime family.

By the end of that episode we saw surreal behaviors and reactions with irony and comes-around-goes-around results on display. I thought it was a beautifully rendered encapsulation of the family's dysfunctional reality. It seems there can never be peace for the Donovan family. Even when they try to get along.

Other times I find this series a bit more earthy, trashy and revealed than I might have signed up for. But I did stay with it for its first two seasons.

Now I don't have Showtime, so I will miss the 3rd season. I've read that the series is already set to film a 4th season. They must have some viewers.
