Unlike many/most stateside releases. I would not say it's entirely successful as a film, but well done and generally well acted Sci-Fier which poses interesting questions, which are not always overtly answered.
Viz. Black Panther, another fantasy outing, but despite some feel-good moments and black folks in the key roles and driver's seat (director), eventually devolves to Marvel-world with people flying like nine-pins in gratuitous "fight" scenes.
All depends what one is looking for.
