The Cary and Manley tubes are way out of my budget. I'm looking for around $750 per stereo pair. Not only that, they must be powerful enough to drive an 8 ohm speaker with 88 dB sensitivity. I'm looking for a sound that's smoother than typical A/V receivers but has most of the dynamics of solid state. I need 6 channels of power and it's gonna be hooked up to a 7.1 preamp/processor.Also I'm looking at high value solid state gear like Odyssey Audio and Monarchy Audio.
