I have electrostatics (Acoustat 2s with Maggies in rear) on my HT. You can be sure that any electrostatic will be a challenge for the amp, and that placement is critical. I am going to replace my setup with Bohlender Grabners. These are ribbons that are basically a resistive load - easy on the amp - and a breeze to locate. My friend bought a pair and I am completely in love with the sound ( sounds like electrostatics with warmth ). Most of all I like the small footprint and the excellent horizontal dispersion pattern. Plan on $2k for the large pair and $800 for the center.
