Never enough stuff to put me in left field!!! Hehehe...The mode the tech went into is the service mode which allows them to do anything from color changes to convergence setup.
These controls are rather complex to the "average" user (those people can adjust the color with the normal menu), and they should probably leave well enough alone.
I used the service mode to set up my TV's gray scale, convergence, and all those fun things (with the watchful of my technician/friend).
I (and he) were rather surprised at how "out" the TV was in relation to AVIA, Video Essentials, and THX test discs.
