Methinks she is reacting to the SIZE (of the picture ;-)With a good screen and setup properly, projectors can look decent. BUT, few people do the job right, cutting corners instead. As a result they look washed out and fuzzy compared to a good movie theatre. However, if you don't have a decent movie theatre in town, then it does not take much to better it.
With a progressive scan DVD and line doubler, yes component looks even better.
