This is the exact configuration in my room and I have a 7,1 set up in it. It seems to work very well with the time delays in the set up menu. I basically put my 65" XBR exactly where yours is. It spans from the hearth to the wall. Behind it is my Rel Sub. Center sits on top of RPTV. The left main front is about 3 feet from the RPTV along the windowed wall. The right main front is in the opposite corner of the RPTV with the components along the right side of it. I have a Corner couch. One side along the wall the other comes out into the room. My Listening Position is in the corner piece of the couch directly in front of the RPTV. To set up my surronds I stand at my listening position and raised my arms to the side. This is where my surrounds went up on the walls. The surround backs went directly behind my listening position along the back wall and along the small souphet that spans the opening to the rest of the house (3 walled room, 2 long walls, 1 short w/fireplace). Sound is excellent, however, if I were to make changes it would be with a Plasma above the fireplace. This would allow me to then treat the room as a rectangle, with the back wall open, and then place my mains on eather side of the hearth. Email me if you have any other questions.Kirk
