I love my maggies, they are great musical speakers. I tried using them for HT, but I blew the voice coils (it actualy melted a gap in the high frequency wire about 1/4"). I rebuilt both panels with new factory wire, and glue. I glued the heck out them, coat after coat, in anticipation of a higher output. It just didn't happen. They are what they are, the most unbelievably natural sounding speakers you may ever hear. They need a good musical sub, something with servo control and small/medium sized woofer. I had a hard time matching to 12" and 15" HT subs.
