That would be of particular concern of you plan on watching 16x9 content, like anamorphic DVDs.

If your TV doesn't have that function, might still be able to access the service menu, and manually perform a raster squeeze yourself. Nice feature to have. But I wouldn't necessarily lose any sleep over not having that function. YMMV.
