Well it's a 7 year old Toshiba 2535DB TV, not widescreen. 28 inches I think. Gives a very good picture with off-air broadcasts. The jagged edges arent as much of a problem as the strange effect noticed on thinks like brick walls (only at certain angles) when the picture pans across them. I have ordered a better quality SCART cable though so hopefully that will sort it.
