Re: My head is spinning!!!!!!!!!!

Hey BigEd!
There are a lot of people out there extolling their beliefs about why a good two channel system sounds better than listening to stereo from a multi channel AV rig (hell, I'm one of them). Please don't let our rambling make you think that you can't have great stereo from an AV set up. There are millions of people out there that thuroughly enjoy music from their AV set up. Hell, they even use digital processing and all of their speakers for CDs. Many of these millions of people I'm referring to only had a boom box until they got their home theater. Think about it, without their home theater they may have never been able to sit in their living room and listen to good stereo.

My stereo system is in the same room as my home theater. It's a tube system and uses separate speakers. I like to fiddle with a soldering iron and tweak my tube gear so some of the time when my amps are on the bench I plug my stereo speakers into my AV rig. Yep, I enjoy that too. Hell, I even engage some of the surround modes once in a while (GASP!). My AV rig is a Yamaha 2095. Once again, you CAN get good stereo from a home theater set up. What's really important is what sounds good to you.

Thanks for letting me ramble. Let the flames begin, I'm dressed for it. :-)

Bob
