Hi, we are redoing our rec room and have been having a hard time deciding what to do. We originally were going to with a plasma tv with a wall mount, but as the quality went up, so did the price. We then began thinking about a projection setup instead, but weren't sure what would be the best choice. We are looking to spend between $6,000-$8,000 (We were looking at the Sony 50" plasma) for either a plasma TV or a projection complete setup. First, can anyone tell me the positives and negatives to both setups? Secondly, what costs are normally associated with up keep of the projection system? And lastly, can you tell me what my best bet for a projection unit and screen would be in the above given price range?
