I would think that as long as you are using the analogue RCA outputs from the DVD player, you are going to receive a 2-channel mix (stereo output). It's when you are using a digital output to a processor that you are going to receive a multichannel mix, and then you would have to downmix it via the processor. Some DVD players with built-in decoders also have RCA outs for each surround channel. Don't use those with your integrated.

For your setup, there should be nothing to configure.
