Re: $1,500 for a TV - Focus on DVD

I recommend a digital SONY wide screen rear projection of 36" or more. Digital becausa it will accept input freom a progressive scan DVD player (progressive scan gives a better picture).

Also be sure immediately to have the TV "calibrated" by an ISF (Imaging Sciencve Foundation) technician for optimum picture and longer set life (most TV's are factory set too bright and will burn out more quickly over time). And be sure to connect the DVD player with COMPONENT (i.e., the three wire arrangement), again for optimum picture.
